You may have noticed that there’s a lot of JVM in my playlist.
The reason is simple: dude’s music is legit!
I’ve been a fan for a few years now, ever since I first got a hold of “Post Tropical” and, in my opinion, every subsequent album release has been stellar from James Vincent McMorrow.
“True Care” is the most unique stray from his “usual”, but I hesitate to even assert that there is a usual you should expect from McMorrow. Even though it isn’t necessarily similar songs with any given album of his, each is still wonderful and consumable in its own right.
Like I’ve done and still do with all of his other albums, “True Care” is very much an album I’ve been listening to while driving the long trips I usually take for work. JVM always helps make a dull drive more enjoyable.
Below is my (current) favorite off the album, “Glad it’s Raining”.
